Ypod Plus

Ypod Plus is a Princes Trust programme offering an alternative curriculum for young people in Key stage 4 who may be struggling at school.

Young people on Ypod Plus attend the Ypod for one day per week for the whole academic year and work towards GCSE equivalent qualifications and life skills. The curriculum follows the Princes Trust 5 key areas:

  1. Personal, Interpersonal and Team Skills
  2. Active Citizenship
  3. Entrepreneurship and Enterprise
  4. Preparation for Work
  5. Enrichment Projects

As part of the programme, young people will: Complete a St John’s Ambulance Young First Aider award, undertake a community volunteering project, run a business enterprise project, focus on their future plans and receive support with their next steps and participate in various enrichment projects including sport, cooking, healthy lifestyles and trips and outings. Embedded in all our sessions are numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.

Ypod Plus is supported by Woking Federation of Schools.
