Recording Studio
We have a state of the art recording studio which is available for young people to use.
Check out some photos:

Our studio is available for young people to use during our drop in, Mondays 4-9pm, and every other Friday 4-9pm. You can also book it if you want a longer session for recording an EP or something like that.
Our studio has two main uses... Firstly, recording live music - if you're in a band or are a solo artist and want to record some of your tracks onto a CD we can do that. Secondly, producing digital music - if you're an MC, singer or dancer and want to create some of your very own backing tracks we can do that too!
Through our music programme at Woking YMCA we aim to help musicians develop their skills and confidence by providing them with opportunities which they might not otherwise have access to, or be able to afford.
Our recording studio is free for young people (under 18) to use within our specific youth programme.
If you're over 18, or if you want to use the studio outside of our specific youth programme times (Mondays and every other friday 4pm-9pm) it is £25 per hour with a technician, or £15 per hour if you don't need one. Extra hours, at a lower rate, may be required for the technician to finish mixing, engineering and producing your tracks.
We use Logic Pro 7 software on an Apple PowerMac G5 Computer with a Mackie 1642 VZL Pro Mixing desk, Yamaha HS 80 M monitor speakers, a Motu 828 Mkll audio interface and a Roland V20 RS PCM Synthesizer.
We have a selection of Shure microphones (including SM58, SM57 and SE2200) and cables and stands. We can also provide a skeleton Mapex "Rock" drum kit, a Marshall AVT 275 Combo guitar amp and an Ashdown MAG C115-300 bass amp if required.
