The Ypod is a superb inexpensive conferencing and room hire facility offering exquisite catering and professional staff, all of which can be tailored to suit your needs to help you create your unique conference or conferencing event.

We can cater for one person to 200 people in our choice of six purpose built rooms, each with contemporary modern décor, air conditioning and internet access.

Situated in the heart of Woking this modern conference room hire and events venue is easily accessible and just a five minute walk from Woking train station.

Board Room

Our Woking YMCA Board Room is ideal for meetings, training days or small events (projector and flip chart included)

Capacity: Board Style - 20 | Theatre Style - 30
Price: £26.52 per hour

Main Hall

A spacious room with stage area, ideal for larger functions and events. A large projector and PA system are included and there is an optional cafe at one end.

A retractable wall can divide this room into 2 smaller rooms, ideal for slightly smaller functions and events.

Capacity of whole Hall: Theatre Style - 150 | Caberet Style - 50
Capacity of 1/2 the Hall: Theatre Style - 80 | Caberet Style - 30
Price: Whole Hall - £63.65 per hour | 1/2 Hall - £31.83 per hour

Recording Studio

Our recording studio is free for young people (under 18) to use within our YMCA specific youth programme (click here for more details).

If you're over 18 it is £25 per hour with a technician, or £15 per hour if you don't need one. Extra hours, at a lower rate, may be required for the technician to finish mixing, engineering and producing your tracks.

We use Logic Studio software on an Apple PowerMac G5 Computer with a Mackie 1642 VZL Pro Mixing desk, Yamaha HS 80 M monitor speakers, a Motu 828 Mkll audio interface and a Roland V20 RS PCM Synthesizer.

We have a selection of Shure microphones (including SM58, SM57 and SE2200) and cables and stands. We can also provide a skeleton Mapex "Rock" drum kit, a Marshall AVT 275 Combo guitar amp and an Ashdown MAG C115-300 bass amp if required.
