Aspire

Aspire is a FREE course preparing and helping young people aged 16-19 to get into education, employment or training.

ASPIRE is about - Attainment - Success - Progression - Independence - Responsibility - Empowerment

If you are aged 16-19 and are not in education, employment or training but want to get your life moving, then Aspire is the course for you.

Aspire lasts for 7 weeks. The first 2 weeks involve meeting with our Connexions Personal Advisors to find out a bit more about you and how we can help you. Then the course is run 2 days a week for 3 weeks. Aspire focuses on skills needed to move into work, college or apprenticeships such as team work, communication skills and self esteem. You will also get a Surrey Youth Consortium Certificate in “Working With Others”. After the course has finished we can offer 2 more weeks of tailored support that you might need.

The course is run by our Connexions Personal Advisors: Cheryl Kane and Emily Waugh, and Sharon Meyers from the Lifetrain Trust.
